When I stopped working and became a full time housewife, the first thing I learned how to do was coupon. While this method helped me save a TON of money on everyday groceries, I wanted to get beyond packaged foods and back to the basics. I wanted to learn how to make wholesome meals and products. I wanted to control the ingredients, and become that classic prodigy housewife I imagined from the 40's and 50's that made everything from scratch.
With that said, here are some things I make and use daily that help my family to become more wholesome and save outside of couponing.
