So I grabbed my family lunch from Wendy's today. I learned how to get more food for less from fast food joints a while ago, and thought today while I was nomming on my burger, that it was time to share these things with you as well. Coupons are great, but if you're getting fast food in the spur of the moment, there's only one thing you need to do to save money: order from the value menu.
I know it's nothing new, but it is something I assumed wouldn't be worth it for my hunger's sake until I actually did it. The Wendy's junior burger is pictured above. It's on a regular sized bun and there is plenty of meat in there. It's filling, and so are the small value french fries. I spent a little over $10 to feed me, Shane, and Josiah and I actually overspent...
I got 3 junior cheeseburgers, 1 junior chicken sandwich, 2 small fries, a 4 pc chicken nuggets, and a large diet coke to split with Shane (I don't like keeping sodas in our home, but when we have nothing but water, I sometimes order them when eating out). When I ordered all of this, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach and we could have gotten by with half the amount of food.
